I’ve been on a creative binge ever since making those basement curtains last week. (I think the cooler weather has brought my brain out of the creative coma it’s been in since the triple-digit sun storm two weeks ago …)
Nathan, my 3-year-old, has been more creative as well, and has been constantly asking for more tape with which to hang his artwork. And of course, he can’t rip the tape himself or attach it effectively, so it’s “Mama, Mama! Help me! Help me!” as soon as I start working on something.
So I solved that problem by attaching four rows of eye hooks to the wall and tying fishing line to each hook. Then I bought about 30 alligator clips (although I might switch to clothespins, which are easier for little fingers to manipulate) so he could clip his art to the line HIMSELF.
Nathan is absolutely thrilled with his hanging art gallery. And I finally have a few moments of peace.
