Display your child’s artwork, eliminate the stack of drawings

by respaced on February 3, 2010

Do you have stacks of your children’s artwork gathering dust on the counter? Here is an idea for showcasing several pieces at once:

My four-year-old likes to draw cars, so I picked out all of his car drawings, cut them up and glued them collage-style on a large (22″ x 28″) piece of paper. I don’t feel guilty about recycling the rest of the car drawings, because I used so many of the best ones. Then I framed the collage. Now it will be a unique birthday present for my husband this weekend (so please don’t tell him about this blog post!) Chad is the general manager at an autobody collision repair center, so a collage of cars is perfect decor for his office.

With the frame on sale, I only spent about $45, while eliminating a significant portion of the art collection on the counter. If you want more ideas for showcasing/storing your children’s artwork, read here.
