You know how after Thanksgiving, you end up with a bunch of that disposable Tupperware (e.g. Gladware and the like) filled with leftovers? And then you eat up all the leftovers, leaving you stuck with 12 new pieces of disposable/reusable storage containers?
Instead of shoving them all into the back of a cupboard, why not use them to organize your bulk and bagged foods in the pantry? Many of us have bags filled with lentils, nuts, dried fruit, grains and rice that are half-full and make our pantry look messy. Those beautiful, matching glass canisters you see lined up in rows in Martha Stewart-eque pantries look nice, but they are spendy. Use your leftover plastic containers instead to inexpensively organize your pantry. Don’t forget to label them!
That’s one less jumbled cupboard in your kitchen, 12 fewer pieces of plastic in a landfill and one more organized space in your home.

Love this idea — and am implementing it this weekend!
