The myth of the perfectly organized home

by respaced on December 28, 2011

Being a mom is hard enough. Do we also have to maintain an immaculate home?

You probably already know how unrealistic it is to diet down to a runway model-size 0 and achieve that “perfect” figure. Similarly with organizing, none of us is ever going to be able to achieve and maintain a perfectly organized home. Don’t let those glossy home magazines try to convince you otherwise.

Instead, the goal of organization is to give you the time and space to live out your dreams. This requires a functional, comfortable, efficient home. What that actually looks like will be different for everyone.

So liberate yourself from the expectations of maintaining an immaculate home and embrace an imperfect, welcoming space instead. You deserve to live in a space that allows you to fully be you.
