Make your own fabric boxes, stash your stuff

August 28, 2009 by respaced

Today’s post combines a few of my favorite things: organization, DIY and sewing. Melissa, the writer/creative technician of the Portland-based blog All Buttoned Up, will be teaching a class at Bolt on how to make delightful fabric boxes. These boxes are pretty enough to sit out on your desk or craft table, holding tools, trim, office supplies, etc. And the beauty is, you can make them yourself using fabric scraps from your stash. There’s nothing like DIY to give a custom-designed look to your home.

Melissa was kind enough to post this link to a tutorial so you can make them at home, in case you don’t have time to take the class. Thanks, Melissa!
