Make this desktop organizer in a snap!

June 9, 2010 by respaced

I saw this desktop organizer for sale on Etsy, and my first thought was, I could make that (although props to the seller for coming up with such a clever idea). It appears to be several boxes of various sizes covered in decorative paper, all nestled together in an old box lid, also covered in pretty paper.

I like how she has put craft supplies in it, instead of the traditional office supplies. This could also be a great landing station for your front entry way. Read more about the importance of landing strips here.

I always love a good excuse to shop for beautiful decorative paper. Time to get crafty!

Hi Erica, I didn’t make it — I saw it on Etsy. But it would be easy enough to make. Start with a wide shoebox lid (use that for the base of the entire unit), get two old VHS tape boxes for the back two boxes, use an old shoe box for the middle box and find old jewelry boxes for the front boxes. Cover everything in decorative paper and bam! You’ve got yourself a landing strip!
