I love paint and painting. Simply love it. I think I have painted a room in my house every year for the past 6 years. Springtime always gives me the itch to paint, probably due to the flood of warm light that comes in through the windows, making the current wall color seem dull and flat.
I do paint consultations as part of the redesign end of my business, and I have recently switched over to using Devine Paint (I was using Sherwin Williams). Devine Paint is headquartered here in the Pacific Northwest, so they really understand the kind of colors that make Northwest homes look fabulous.
Devine Paint is also my new paint of choice because they allow you to buy small pouches of paint color to test on your wall. No more using a paint chip the size of a stick of gum to determine if sky blue will look good splashed across your entire living room. And no more shelling out 10 bucks on a quart of paint only to learn that, no, sky blue across your entire living room makes it look like you live inside an aquarium.
If you are having a hard time choosing paint colors or are intimidated by this process, let me do it for you. We will have fun flipping through the paint samples (I supply 8.5″ x 11″ sheets of the paint colors). And you can rest easy knowing that you are going to end up with the perfect color for your wall. No aquarium living for you!
