FREE GIVEAWAY + organizing product review

September 13, 2011 by respaced

Do you like shiny chrome things that hold a bunch of stuff while looking spiffy? Me too. That’s why I think you will like these two products with which I am kicking off my giveaway streak. Here’s the first one:

“Preston” line by Moen

?Yes, it’s normally a toilet paper holder. Yeah, I know, big yawn. But what about attaching it to the wall sideways and using it to hold this?

This works well because the bar that holds the roll swings out and is open on the end. Wouldn’t it look fabulous to have 3-4 of these lined up in a row in your craft room to hold ribbon, string, twine, tape, etc?

What about using it for gift wrap ribbon?

Or tape and fishing line in a laundry room or utility room? This paper holder comes from Moen, and it’s worth commenting on how it looks and feels like the high quality product that it is. It was also pretty easy to install.

Here’s the next product, also from Moen:

“Preston” line double robe hook from Moen.

?It’s a double-pronged robe hook that is meant to be placed on the back of the bathroom door for the aforementioned robes. The thoughtful part about it is that it doesn’t stick out any farther than your door knob, so it won’t put a hole in your wall when your door is shoved open too roughly. (You have to think about these things when you have a 5-year-old boy.)

But what about hanging it down low on the wall so your child can hang his or her shoes up off the floor? Eliminates the dirt on the floor and the pile of shoes by the door, plus makes for easy sweeping up around the front door. These would look great en masse inside the hall closet or inside your child’s closet. Nathan was thrilled to see this little hook just for him.

I will be drawing one name to win both the paper roll holder and the double-pronged robe hook. Want to win? Simply enter your name (only once please!) and email address in the comments below. I will announce the winner’s name on Monday, September 19. Good luck!

Images courtesy of Moen, except for the really amateur-looking ones, which are obviously my handiwork. I was not compensated monetarily by Moen for reviewing these products, nor is Moen sponsoring the giveaway.

But wouldn't both pieces look great in a kitchen, holding tea towels and pot holders?
