This ingenious to-do list/calendar is the brain child of Kristy at Next To Heaven. (See her entire post about it here.) She simply framed scrapbooking paper in eight frames and writes the week’s activities directly on the glass with a dry erase marker. Seems like you could also write the meals for the week on the glass and hang it in the kitchen, or record the kids’ chores and morning routines and hang it in their bedroom. It’s a perfect marriage of inexpensive and DIY.
I’m already thinking about how I can make something similar to hang in my kitchen …
Like it or hate it? Can you think of other ways to use it?

Love, Love, Love this idea!!!! I’ve seen/done one frame – using it as a dry erase board. But I love how this (with the additional frames) makes it become a “command hub” of sorts.
I LOVE that I could put our family calendar, meal planning, to-do lists, grocery lists, schedules, etc. all in ONE SPOT – as I’m constantly referring to each one individually. (you know, meal planning takes javing the family calendar to know what the week ahead looks like – if we’ll need a quick dinner (ie. crockpot) or its a night we’re having friends over, etc.). This project is now on my to-do list for THIS week!
This project in itself would really help me obtain many goals I’ve set for myself.
Yep, all it takes are a few frames & some pretty scrapbook paper for this Mama!
Thanks again for yet another GREAT, Helpful (and actually something anyone can easily do in a matter of just one naptime!) post!

Wow, glad you loved it so much! I think that’s an excellent idea to put the grocery list along with the week’s meal plans and the to-do list. It really becomes a command center that way, just as you mentioned. Thanks for reading and commenting!
