ADHD Services

Do you feel like you are barely hanging on, always struggling to get caught up, to find something or to finish something?

Do you struggle to sustain attention on tedious tasks or to turn your attention elsewhere when working on something you enjoy?

Is procrastination causing you problems at home, at work or with your family?

If so, you might be one of the 4.4 percent of adult Americans who live with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Here at reSPACEd, many of our organizing clients tell us they have been diagnosed with ADHD, and while we cannot diagnose or treat this condition, we have learned many ways over the years to create organizing systems that work for people with ADHD.

respaced can help you:

  • Clear the excess clutter
  • Get to the bottom of piles
  • Help you make decisions about what to keep or discard
  • Create a paper management system
  • Design a routine to make mornings go more smoothly
  • Create homes for frequently lost items
  • Set up systems to get bills paid on time and other tasks taken care of

Our compassionate, non-judgmental organizers are happy to come in for a one-time consultation, multi-session clean-out, or weekly, monthly or quarterly maintenance. Please fill out our contact form and let us know how we can help you get more organized.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What kinds of ADHD‑related challenges can reSPACEd help with?

We support adults and families who struggle with things like chronic clutter, unfinished projects, difficulty sustaining attention, procrastination, misplaced items, and routines that never quite stick. While we don’t diagnose or treat ADHD, we specialize in creating organizing systems that work with your brain, not against it.

Are reSPACEd organizers professionally trained mental health providers?

No. ReSPACEd organizers cannot diagnose nor treat brain-based conditions. But we do have extensive training in understanding brain-based conditions and creating organizing systems that work with your brain, rather than against it.

What exactly will my organizer help me do?

Your organizer can help you:

  • Clear excess clutter
  • Sort through piles and long‑avoided spaces
  • Make decisions about what to keep or let go
  • Create a paper‑management system
  • Set up routines that make mornings smoother
  • Establish homes for frequently lost items
  • Build systems for recurring tasks like laundry, tidying up, and handling paperwork

All of this is done collaboratively, compassionately, and without judgment.

How is ADHD‑friendly organizing different from regular organizing?

ADHD‑friendly organizing focuses on:

  • Reducing decision fatigue
  • Creating simple, sustainable systems
  • Designing routines that match your natural rhythms
  • Minimizing visual overwhelm
  • Reducing sensory overstimulation

We tailor every step to your attention style, energy levels, and executive‑function needs.

What if I feel embarrassed about the state of my home?

You’re not alone—many clients feel this way at first. Our organizers are warm, non‑judgmental, and deeply experienced with ADHD‑related challenges. We’re here to help you feel supported, not ashamed.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your goals. Some clients want to organize just one room, while others want ongoing weekly, monthly, or quarterly organizing maintenance. We’ll help you choose a plan that fits your time, energy, and budget.

Can you help with paperwork?

Yes. We can create a paper‑management system, help you sort through existing piles, and set up routines and reminders that make bill‑paying and other recurring tasks more manageable.

What is the cost of hands‑on organizing?

Hands‑on organizing is $85 per hour with a 3‑hour minimum. If you live outside of Portland, Milwaukie or Lake Oswego, there is a $25-45 per session travel fee, depending on what town you live in. You’ll receive a time and cost estimate after your initial assessment.

Do you work outside of Portland?

Yes, we work in Beaverton, Lake Oswego, Happy Valley, Milwaukie, Gladstone, Oregon City, Tigard, Tualatin, Hillsboro, Sherwood, Newberg and on a case-by-case basis in Vancouver. We don’t work as far out as Forest Grove, West Linn, Canby, Wilsonville, Damascus, Troutdale or Sandy, along with a few other places.

How do I get started?

Just fill out the contact form on our website and tell us a bit about what you’re struggling with. Then MaryJo will come to your home to do an in-person Initial Organizing Assessment and give you an estimate for your organizing project.
