A year ago in review: How not to die from toy suffocation, DIY project for old clothes & the best gift you can give yourself

December 21, 2011 by respaced

Just in case you missed it, here’s what we were discussing a year or two ago the week of December 21:

2010

Rescuing my family from the Christmas/Birthday avalanche of new toys My son’s toy total doubles in one week every year. It’s amazing we don’t all suffer Fisher Price/Lego/Playmobil asphyixiation each year.

2009

Finally! A use for your old t-shirts and baby clothes It’s a use that doesn’t involve reappropriating them for changing your car’s oil, mopping up spills or wiping up body fluids in general! Hurrah!

The best gift you can give yourself Give yourself the gift of realistic expectations for your home. Let go of that vision of the magazine-worthy home.
