It’s exactly 6 months until Christmas Eve, which seems like a good time to let you in on my Christmas-organizing hack that you will want to start now. It’s such a simple idea that at first, I thought it wasn’t worth sharing. But maybe the simplest ideas are the easiest ones for people to implement when people want stress-relief right away, so here you go:
One of the hardest things about the holidays (among many!) is knowing what to buy other people for Christmas. So I opened up the memo list of my phone and created a new memo called “Gift Ideas.” Throughout the year, when I’m with someone on my gift list, I I pay attention to whenever they say something like:
I wish I had this.
Looks how beautiful this thing is!
I need to replace my ….
I need to get new ….
I love anything about/by …
Then I secretly add whatever object they were talking about to my gift list memo. It only takes a few seconds to do, and it makes it SO EASY when Christmas comes around to simply pick an item off the list and order it online. Voila! Christmas shopping stress vastly reduced! (And in case you’re wondering about the crossed-out items in the pic above, those are the gift ideas for family members who I know read this blog! Lol!)
If you start your Gift Ideas list on your phone now, you have 6 more months to collect gift ideas for the people in your life. You’ll be so glad you did this, come December. Happy Organizing, everyone!
