I was thrilled to be featured in the national magazine Southern Living in their article “10 of the best laundry cabinet organizers on Amazon, according to experts” Here’s a bit of the article (click on the link to read the whole piece.)
- Before you make any purchases for your laundry cabinet, note that you may first want to take out any removable shelves and reposition them to best suit your needs. “A lot of people miss out on maximizing space in their cabinets because they don’t adjust their shelves,” explains MaryJo Monroe, the founder of reSPACEd. Hello, instant space for tall bottles! Additionally, be mindful of the order in which you place things in your laundry cabinet. “For safety reasons, always put heavier items on the lower shelves and lighter items on the top shelves,” Monroe states.
- Don’t squander vertical space—mix in some under shelf baskets to corral smaller, lighter weight items that need a home, too. As Monroe notes, “You can use them to store cleaning rags, dryer sheets, dryer balls or other small laundry items that might otherwise get lost in the back of a cabinet.”
- Toss that unsightly packaging and go ahead and use these to house essentials including laundry pods, dryer balls, and powdered detergent for a more streamlined look. “Because they are plastic instead of glass, they are safer to use and not as heavy to lift if they are stored in an overhead cabinet,” Monroe says.
- Hang an organizer over one of your cabinet doors for some additional storage space. Better yet, this piece doesn’t require much setup. “You don’t need any tools to install these baskets,” Monroe explains. “They have ample room for storing stain remover sticks and dryer sheet boxes.”
- Never lose count of how many dryer sheets you have on hand with a holder like this one. “It also allows you to see when you are running low on dryer sheets,” Monroe says of the clear color.
