You know how we all come home with seashell collections after each beach vacation? And how we do this every year so that over time, our seashell collection becomes big and out-of-control? Here is what this professional organizer does with seashells in her house:
Years ago, my dad made this frame and super-glued all of the seashells into place. Whenever a seashell breaks or pops off, I glue a new one in its place.
The board sits on the counter in my bathroom because for some reason, bathrooms seem like the perfect place to display seashells to me. Kids (and adults!) always love to see this display when they come over. And kids seem to take an extra long term using my bathroom, which I think is because they are running their hands down my seashell board. 🙂 Which maybe means these seashells are extra germy! But that’s ok. When the board gets too dusty and grimy, I just take it outside and hose it off with a light spray. Makes it look as good as new.
How do you organize your seashell or other nature-find display in your house?
